We had the pleasure of interviewing Melissa Boyd, a recent REAL ESTATE WEBOGRAPHER™ certificant and real estate professional who provides technology support and administration to agents & brokers. Melissa recently completed the REAL ESTATE WEBOGRAPHER™ certification and we asked a few simple interview questions.
1) What is your background?
Personally, I am a military spouse and a mother of one. Professionally, I am a Virtual Administrative Professional (a.k.a., a Virtual Assistant). I provide off-site support services for Real Estate (R.E.) professionals. My company is named iAssist Virtual Services (www.iassistonline.com).
While growing up, all I wanted to do was work in an office and provide support. As a kid, I drove my sister and friends crazy playing “office”. While in high school, I was fortunate enough that our school offered a very comprehensive business curriculum which really helped to jump-start my V.A. career. I started my first assistant job before I even graduated. Prior to launching iAssist, I worked in various support roles in several industries; however, Real Estate is my passion.
2) Why did you undertake the REAL ESTATE WEBOGRAPHER™ certification?
I'm always looking for new and better ways to enhance the services that I offer my clients. The REAL ESTATE WEBOGRAPHER™ certification seemed like a natural choice to enhance my business skills since I provide support services for R.E. professionals. The courses offered within the certification allowed me to learn some great competencies that I can use to support my current and future clients’ needs.
3) What are your impressions of the online experience?
I love taking classes online. When considering all of the online courses I've taken over the past 5 years, your interface was by far one of the best! It was easy to navigate and I loved the fact that I could pause, stop, or go back whenever it was convenient for me. I thought the course materials were very well laid out and each course was easy to understand and complete.
4) How long did it take you to complete the certification?
It took me about 5 weeks (10 good hours) to complete all the courses. Originally I had planned to do it in 2 weeks but between taking care of my professional and family obligations, I did not meet my original goal.
5) What real estate technologies are you considering implementing (for yourself or your clients)?
I hope to implement as many of the competencies included in the training as my clients need. Based on past experience, I am positive I will implement the Virtual Tours, Agent Websites and Single-Property Website technologies.
6) What would you tell those who are considering this certification?
Go for it! You will not be disappointed in what you learn.

Thanks Melissa and all the Best!
